Meet Seth
CANDIDATE FOR MARYLAND DISTRICT 1C
Western Maryland deserves an active voice in Annapolis pushing for smart development and attainable solutions. We’re getting silence instead. We can build a community that offers opportunity today and possibilities for tomorrow. That’s why I’m running to be your Delegate.
I’ve lived my entire life in Western Maryland. My father is a plumber who took over the family business from his father. My mother is an ICU nurse right here in Washington County, with over 30 years of service. Both of my parents worked long, hard hours to give me many opportunities that they never had. Now I want to give that back to the community.
This is my home. I earned my Eagle Scout with Williamsport’s Troop 17. I graduated from Williamsport High School and Hagerstown Community College. While I went to Southern Maryland for higher education, my heart and mind were always in the backroads and mountains of Western Maryland.
I pursued an education in politics and public service for one reason: I wanted to make life better for my community, with the opportunity and prosperity we once had.
Now I live in Williamsport with my wife Autumn, our dog Markus, and our cat LuLu, and we hope to raise a family here. I want our community to be a place where families can grow and prosper without children feeling like they have to leave for better opportunities.
Western Maryland was once a hub of trade, manufacturing, and transportation. Our community powered the state not just with our resources, but with our labor and economy as well. We’re no strangers to hard work. Those days are long gone, with jobs leaving, plants closing, and no plans for the future. Children grow up and move away to towns with stronger connections, better jobs, and cheaper housing.
A Delegate should never stop fighting for a better future for their constituents. They should be a constant presence, not to lecture but to hear directly from the people what they need. We don’t need a seat warmer; we need a dedicated, active force in Annapolis constantly demanding “Why not Western Maryland?”
We can’t wait any longer. It’s time to build those better possibilities. It’s time we demand the attention Western Maryland has needed for years. Silence and inattention are what we’re used to. A better future is possible. With a strong voice, we can fight for lower bills, better roads, modern schools, and support for our local farmers and workers.
I’m not settling for being left behind. We deserve a future just as much as anywhere else in Maryland. We were the backbone of the state before, and we certainly can be again.
